[attr="class","ws-detail"] [attr="class","ws-title"]HISTORY El is a dragon in a rather cruel family or rather a very standard one depending on how you see it. She had five siblings, which meant five competitions to vie for her parents’ attention. From birth it became a fight or die situation. In the end she managed to survive, by luck or by ruthlessness. Yes, she had killed her own siblings, but that came from instinct. They were trying to kill her first after all. Her parents proudly took her in and began the teachings for her survival. She learned how to be vicious, but also cunning, often being dumped in the middle of the swamp to try hunting on her own. She learned to not be picky, food was a valuable resource that required sacrifice and pain. It was only when she learned to survive did the parents begin to teach culture. As far as El was concerned it seemed like the other races were inferior to dragons. This was instilled into her from a young age, but she also learned that while they were inferior, they can still be a threat. There was also the idea of treasures that were so pretty and shiny, such as the gold, gems, silvers, and so forth. Unlike some more violent dragons, they did not pillage or destroy for their wealth. Instead she was taught how to interact with the lower lifeforms and take advantage of them. These lessons continued until she reached maturity or rather when she was close to maturing. She wished to stay with her parents, but knew better. She saw the agitation and discomfort her presence was becoming. It was simply the way, if she didn’t leave they will either drive her out or kill her. It was their territory and their lair after all. If she wanted a home to call her own, then she had to create one by herself. So off she went, to make a name for herself. El desired for riches that made her parents look like paupers. With that in mind, she needed a plan. While she had learned about society, she never interacted. So that became her first step. Her first few years involved learning to blend into society. By a few years, it took her many lifetimes of a human just to adapt. She might have been clever, but they are a different race after all. It went according to plan, she learned a few skills here and there, especially from the humans. It was all going well until she fell in love with one. The woman was called a witch, but El couldn’t care less. It was supposed to be a simple useful friendship, but she found her rather attracted to the person. She worked for the kingdom at the time and to become closer, El became a knight. Their relationship never got farther than a friendship before she was exposed. She had used her true form to protect the kingdom in a battle. It was a lapse in judgement, one that found her chained and enslaved. Even back then, there were people that couldn’t help themselves. Her friend unable to set her free. For generations she served this ruler, biding her time while seeming as though she had resigned to her fate. She acted as a monster or a royal knight depending on the occasion. When the chance presented itself, she broke free and began to terrorize the kingdom that had once dared to use her. Though there was enjoyment to gain from forcing the royalty into insanity at the time. There was no satisfaction, only people looking to hunt her down. Besides she cared not for the future of this kingdom, time will be the real enemy for such a short-lived race. This is where her preferences began to awaken. Some dragons prefer their hoards to be rare gems or gold. While those are rather attractive, she preferred collecting knowledge. She collected books, any book really. Perhaps it was because of the preferences of the witch she loved, but she found herself spending frivolous amounts of money on knowledge. While books are one form of knowledge, she also bought interesting trinkets or weird contraptions. As her collection grew, she finally began setting up her own lair. Due to the nature of her collection she was forced to find an underwater lair with both a land and water entrance. When it came down to it, money was needed. She did what she needed, made investments here and there. What was important was growing her hoard and fill that nagging hole in her chest. These investments took advantage of other people of course, slave trafficking, bribes, harassments, weapon dealing, she didn’t care, whatever it took to buy her collection. She was ruthless and that was fine by her. When the war finally sparked between Luthia and Cesta, she only saw a good opportunity to make money. After all, there was a rare book she wanted and El always got what she wanted. | [attr="class","ws-detail"] [attr="class","ws-title"]PERSONALITY El is a rather happy person, resting on a solid bed of bitterness and resentment. It is easy for her to show a smiling and positive face to just about anyone, but that does not mean trust comes easy to her. Like other dragons, she is a rather greedy person, especially when it comes to her hoard. If there is something she wants bad enough, she will find a way to take it. Perhaps it won’t be physical force, but she will use any tool to get what she wants. What ends up happening is that El often comes off as being a childish and playful woman. Due to this, she tends to throw tantrums when things do no go her way. There are still moments that show her true age though. Most times it would be an odd remark, but in some rare occasions she is known to give a rather useful advice. Overall, she is a rather cruel and aloof to the sensitivity of others. Some might find her free spirit charming, but often it is just a sense of pure selfishness. It is in her nature to enjoy domination in any form. If she finds herself affectionate towards someone, they will find a loyal ally. |
[attr="class","ws-detail"] [attr="class","ws-title"]ABILITIES Dragon Physiology – The category of gold dragons that El falls into have both a human and dragon form. Their scales provide a thorough layer of protection and large wings that run along their spine to allow for flight. Her subspecies has an omnivorous diet with a tendency to eat poisonous materials due to their breath weapon. Her preferred places for lairs are within swamps or areas or humid weather. Her optimal lair means finding swamps that have underwater pockets for lairs. While she can withstand cold climates to a certain degree, she is most comfortable in temperate to hot regions. The longer she stays in colder temperatures the more likely her body becomes sluggish. Her natural weapons are her claws, fangs, and size, which she uses to her full advantage. Poison Breath – While El cannot breath fire, she can shoot out a cone of poisonous breath. The concentration and type of poison is dependent on her recent diets. The effects can lead to death, however it can begin with nausea, weakness, shortness of breath, and so forth. Poison Immunity – At the very least El will not die from poisons. She can be poisoned if it is from something she has never taken in, but the effects will not kill her. Given time her body is capable of synthesize new poisons to be used in her breath. Swordplay – In her years of service, El had learned to defend herself in her human form. Her preferred mode of fighting is with swords and shields of a knight. She uses this cover for jobs if needed, but she prefers less physically violent work. | [attr="class","ws-detail"] [attr="class","ws-title"]LIKES/DISLIKES Likes: Money, Power, Influence, Games, Knowledge Dislikes: Resistance, "Heroes", Rejection, Threats(to her), Cheapness |
